Blissfully Green

While we've made a ton of progress on the inside of our house, the outside has been hideous at best. Of course weeds then moved in and the whole mess ended up looking like this:

It's tough to be proud of your new home when you are a burnt-out Ford away from total trash. So, after weeks of digging out weeds, scrapping out the ironically named beauty bark, dousing the whole place not once, but twice, with Round Up (the weeds were VERY stubborn) and a final round of digging, we were ready for Phase One - SOD!It's a truly great feeling to walk up to your front door and not be embarrassed by it...and to have your neighbors come over to congratulate you on the transformation.
